When you choose it right, the perfect carry-on luggage will last you a lifetime, and definitely should be able to bring you many happy international travel adventure memories. Prices for international traveling carry-on cases range from somewhere between $165 and high end near the $600 mark, so depending on your budget you should be able to find a great deal in any price class.

If you’re in the market for a new carry-on fit for international travel, then take a look at the products that we tested for durability, functionality and general capabilities to help you narrow down the field.

TravelPro Crew 10 Suiter

Pros:

  • We love the fact that this great piece of luggage is relatively affordable and yet still manages to deliver supreme quality
  • The frame is solid and lends an overall sturdiness to the bag
  • The wheels are high quality and makes wheeling around super easy and allows for light traveling

Cons:

  • We would have like to see a bit more fun and flair in the design and the zippers could do with a little upgrade, but overall this is a great piece of luggage for carry-on

Is it Worth Buying?

Yes, if you’re budget conscious then the TravelPro Crew 10 is a perfect fir which will last much longer than just one international trip.

Briggs & Riley Baseline

Pros:

  • For a little more of an investment you get unique features, superior details and plenty of room (as in 7 days’ worth of clothing’s room)
  • The handle rails located outside of the luggage compartment just adds to the roomy factor
  • This bag has one of the best expansion and compression systems out there that even adjusts to various levels and not just open and shut.

Cons:

There are some smaller pockets (smaller than we would like), the wheels are a little bit undersized and there’s a probability of the handle rail getting some damage because it’s exposed, but this really doesn’t dampen our general sense of awe about this great bag.

Is it Worth Buying?

Without a doubt, this bag seems to be like the unicorn of carry-on and we love it because it just allows you to pack that much more inside and take along with you on the plain. Its outstanding quality for a little more of an investment, but one definitely worth making.

Delsey Helium Aero Expandable Spinner Trolley

Pros:

  • Being constructed from 100% polycarbonate this bag is really lightweight and durable, and with its modern design and sleek style, it’s really an attractive piece of luggage
  • The double spinner wheels really gives you exceptional maneuverability and lets you move around without any weight baring on your arms
  • The two compartments on the inside with its elastic web straps and speed buckle for securing clothes really makes optimal use of the compression and expansion idea and allows you to fir quite a lot into the bag

Cons:

The hard case cover is prone to dings and scratches and items packed internally end up taking the room in the front exterior pocket, making it pretty much useless, but other than that, we really couldn’t see anything wrong with this bag

Is it Worth Buying?

Yes, we would gladly recommend this mid-level priced carry-on for international travel for three reasons; one – it’ super attractive, two – the 4 spinner wheels are great for moving around and three – It fits more than you would think thanks to the compression features.

Samsonite Luggage Fiero HS Spinner 20

Pros:

  • This bag has superior balance and wont easily top over, even when fully loaded
  • We also love the fact that it has expansion and compression features to allow you to pack as much as you’d like in there
  • The wheels on this case move like it’s been lubricated, it’s a smooth pull all the way with no issues whatsoever

Cons:

  • The handle could be a little sturdier, but this really isn’t a cause for concern
It misses a laptop pocket accessible from the outside, but like the other “issue” we mentioned, this really isn’t a serious concern

Is it Worth Buying?

Yes, this sturdy little case with security locks certainly won’t let you down, and it has been designed with durability in mind, so you can rest assured that this will be a bag you can depend on for years to come.

Conclusion

From our point of view, these were the four best bags to show you, and we know that the market is constantly evolving, but for now, these guys really bring the goods in style, and are well worth the investment. Our favorite among them is the Briggs and Riley Baseline.

We love the fact that it can fit A LOT of baggage and it has some pretty great details and finishes. With its great expansion and compression features it really allows you to make the most out of your carry-on bag for international travel.
